Humor is agressing. It's linked to Primate behavior of bareing the teeth and screeching when attacked. Don't believe me? Think of a funny joke that isn't at someone's expense.
Mel Brooks said, tragedy is when I stub my toe, Comedy is when you fall ina man hole and die.

The secret to comedy, humor, or any thing funny is just one word, Irony. Irony is when one thing happens but it was different from the expected out come. As long as something is different from what we would expect, it has the potential to be funny. To prove that irony is what's funny and not the joke, we'll use an old joke people already know the answer to. "Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side." I assume that everyone who knows this joke already knows the answer, I know that this joke used to be funny. But now it isn't, the joke is the same yet the Irony has been taken out. In conclusion, Irony is what makes humour, if you already know the answer, then you are not laughing.
