for gouging gas prices. In the news report I just read on yahoo, it said that President Bush plans to veto it if it passes congress because this would cause fuel shortages. What can we do about a president who's own interests outweigh the publics.

Impeachment would be great, but if it was up to me he would have never been elected in the first place. My biggest hope is that the next year and a half go by really quickly and we get someone in there who cares about the poeple and not his pocketbook

How do you define gouging?
Could it be another way Democrats trying to punish the oil companies? just curious...

Why punish the oil companies?
The government makes more money off the taxes on gas than the oil companies could dream of.
The high prices are the result of the laws of supply and demand/
China and India are having an economic BOOM at your expense, taking YOUR jobs and they are buying automobiles.
They are the ones pushing up the price, and they have no pollution controls on their cars either.
In addition, they produce no oil, just use it. Big demand - no supply.
There are billions of them and they all want cars.
What will you do about that? Impeach Bush?
