I;ve never understood that saying "Save it for a rainy day"....what can you do when it's raining? Nothing, you can't go out spend the money etc... "Oh it's raining today I think I will stay at home and count my money!"

Odd...

And 250 punds is only $500 so it's not that much anyway...I would spend it....just not when it's raining!

Maybe use a little to do something fun and save the rest for a rainy day. You never know when you might be in a bind. I always keep a little money stashed away for that reason. My husband doesn't even know where it is. It has helped us out several times.

Save it for a rainy day. It's supposed to rain on Friday or the weekend so I'll spend it then.

I would probably do something nice for myself, like a spa day, or a new outfit.... but of course, when you actually have the money to spend, you can never find something you want! lol.... so maybe it would come in handy for that rainy day you were talking about!

Depends on what is going on. Do I have some debt that I could apply it to? Do I have emergency money already stashed away?

If I have already have some money put away then I would put it towards debt. If I do not have emergency money saved then I would save all of it. If I have emergency money saved and no debt then I would save part and spend part.
