by the way i have a 2001 cadillac catera and i don't know where the brake light switch is located, do anybody have a ideal?

on top of the brake pedal, you might have to take the plastic covering off under the dash to be able to get to it.

Try looking on the firewall behind the brake pedal. they are ussally located there up toward the top.. Cause the brake pedal presses against the plastic switch to turn on your brake lights.

Under the pedal' well not exactly under it it is connected to your brake pedal arm. facing the interior of the car.
Have to be a contortionist to get to it though, good luck.

look about eight inches above the brake peddle, a little box with wires coming out of it. attached to the arm of the brake peddle.
