I "think" that Jon Barry was saying that on ESPN. They have young players, and they need veteran support.

Some people are also saying that Rashard Lewis is Portland bound.

What do you fellas think?

Lewis is portland bound only in the sense that he might be traded for Zach Randolph

The Blazers should not trade the first pick though as they can get a franchise center in a time when their are no franchise centers left in the NBA

Jon Barry is the most dumbest person in the world right now. why trade it for a veteran when you got a young talented team. putting a veteran makes them to try and win now when instead of using that pick on Oden and winning in the future.

right now if they trade it and say they get Garnett or someone else they might not make it far into the playoffs because of the stacked up Western conference.

use it on Oden and then when Dallas, San Antonio and Phoenix fall apart because of old age then you'll only have to deal with Utah and Denver. who would you rather face the first 3 or the second 2!!!

jon barrys an idiot dont worry about anything he says.
the blazers wont pass up the best center in the last 15 years to come into the league.
but then imagine if lewis does come to portland....thats totally possible and heres why...
nate macmillan (the blazers coach) was the sonics coach last time they were in the playoffs. rashard had a career year that year, and injuries slowed him this year, but hes a free agent now so its possible. imagine that starting line up. jarrett jack(or whoever the put at point i dunno im from philly)...rookie of the year brandon roy....rashard lewis....zach randolph....and greg oden.....
ew not even fair. im one of those kids that thinks that any nba team could be good. and with lamarcus aldridge coming off the bench....the blazers would be sick
dont trade the pick. go get lewis

KEEP THE PICK! And dont be foolish Portland, draft GREG ODEN! Now you can team him up with Aldrige and you have the potential to have the same thing San Antonio had going with Duncan and Robinson. This gives you a reason to rid yourselves of that overrated overpaid loser Zach Randolph. Congratulations Portland, you now have become relevant again.

The only people that are saying that are people who want THEIR team to be the one that makes the trade. Everyone knows that the first two picks this year are as close to a guaranteed superstar as you can get. There are no 100%guarantees, but anyone who trades that pick is an idiot. The vast majority of all the experts agree.

If they do that they are morons. You don't trade away the rights to an Oden or Durant. Then again, it is Portland, so they might screw it up.
