JR will scare the hell of the defense on any opposing team.
I'm impressed with what he did in the college level. He will
surely help the anemic defense of the Oakland Raiders
of last NFL season.

First season he's not going to do much because he's best reciever is Mike Williams who's not that good. Next year he might because hopefull the Raiders will get some real recievers on their team, if not he'll probably try to get a trade to the Packers or Texans.

No.....not yet. They don't have valid receivers or an offensive line. QBs can only be good if they have talent around them to work with and unless somebody on that offense REALLY makes a statement and steps up, any QB in that system is going to suffer terribly. But is he better than Andrew Walter? You betcha! Wont stop the Chargers from sacking him 7 times a game though....Sorry.

I don't see him doing a whole lot in his rookie season. Who knows maybe if the Raiders can build a good team around him then he can be a really good player. But his offensive line isn't that good. They allowed a league leading 72 sacks last year.

hes got all the tools, hopefully hes got it upstair too. if the raiders dont get a better line, and good rushing game he might need vicks legs to get through this year. additions of mike williams, and travis taylor could help. maybe jerry porter will get his head straight too and help out

I tend not to think so.

I've said it before....and I'll say it again.
I'm impressed with him athletically....but I'm predicting a flop.

And think about this......without the media hyping him after having a good Bowl Game, would he be the number one pick?
probably not.
He had a good season.....but the reason he went number one is probably because he had a huge game in front of a ton of people.

I'm solid in my opinions on this....but i'm unusually close to the fence......so if i'm wrong, i won't be too upset about it

Yes, but they are a very bad team so it could be another David Carr type career. You know, he can't throw 80 yards if he is being tackled all the time.
