How did men trick the women into subordination. Why did they take it? How to become owners of the world and regain the power?

Teach girls that anything is possible -- I grew up in a male-dominated society where even the women thought the guys had the last word-- BALONEY, I said, and proceeded to go out and play baseball, work on cars, go camping and fishing hiking and do the things I wanted to do -- and had to fight sometimes to get to what I wanted but i was not afraid to fight and I never backed down.

Nothing is easy. Regaining power means WORKING WITH THOSE IN POWER right now, and working for the beterment of society-- it does not mean overthrowing anything -- it means recognizing the worth of everyone -- INCLUDING those in power right now, and working with them for the betterment of all.

And the most important work starts when Mom and Dad bring their baby home -- whether it's a boy or a girl-- that baby needs to learn, to see and to observe that EVERYONE has the right to learn and become whatever they want to be -- as long as it is for the betterment of all living beings.

And what is power? It starts with EMPATHY, A COOL HEAD, RESPONSIBILITY, COMPASSION, FEARLESSNESS (but not Foolhardiness where you get yourself and others into needless trouble), the ablity to WORK WITH OTHERS- regardless of personality differences, the ability to admit you were wrong -- the ability to lead others by valuing their worth as individuals.

AND -- the ability to realize that power works best with humility and a desire to make the world a BETTER place.

If women were more unified, then you probably would see more of a shift in the way the world at large is run.

I have often wondered about this, though not in a "world domination" kind of way, but how it is that women as a world force can't get it together.

Well, judging from some of the answers by some of the women (at least I think they are women) on this forum are an example of why this can't happen. They are perfectly content being dominated by men and will believe everything they are told by men. They will not be helpful.

Then there is the pettiness that often pervades when a group of women get together. They can be efficient at times, but throw hurt feelings or the affections of a guy into the mix and then its WW3.

You know that a large percentage of the witch burnings that took place during Medieval Times were because women turned each other in to the "authorities". What kind of effed up stuff is that?

Also, since women as a whole are geared to protect thier children at all costs, it's hard when they are threatened to take a stance against oppression. If you were forced into a societal norm you found aggregious because your children were threatened, you wouldn't fight to protect your children and you would certainly put up with a lot more for their safety.

Another thing standing in the way is that women aren't pre-disposed to use brute force when things don't go well. Women communicate more and again, unless someone is threatening the children, women aren't likely to take up arms.

There of course are the religious dogmas that have been forced down the throats of women of almost every denomintation and faith - women are the root of all evil and must obey - blah blah blah. When self esteem is compromised in such a way - it is nearly impossible to rise above it. I am so sorry for the women of China who are forced to give up their daugters in order to have a son. That is backfiring already, btw.

Women need to be a cohesive, united front against gender oppression from everywhere, but it isn't just the job of women.

Men need to take some responsibility and stop riding on the successes of the privileged men who were able to make their marks in history. How dare they point to these men and laud their greatness in the faces of women, as if to say "See - see what we MEN have accomplished?" as if the men of today can hold a candle to them. If women had had the equality - you would definitely see more of their faces among the Greats of History.

Added: Starks - I didn't say it was women's fault that there were witch hunts, I am saying that the women who were accused were accused by other women - that is their fault. If they had stood together there might not have been so many deaths. And men were burned too so it wasn't just men against women.

Biologically: because women need to spend vasts amount of time producing, feeding, and eventually raising children - one of which only women can do;

Politically: because men hold nearly all federal-level govt offices worldwide and most lower-level offices
Physically: because men hold a natural physical-strength advantage (size, muscle mass, etc.)

Socially: because men comprise of the most sought after demographic in nearly every field (single men for women, advertising demographically)

How do we take back power? Start with changing the religious dieties and take control over the financial decisions.
