Wife and I were seperated for a year and during that time I dated another woman. Does that count as an affair?

Separated only means you are not living under the same roof. Couples separate to see if they can work out the issues they have to salvage the marriage. Dating during a separation IS a affair. The marriage has not legally came to it's conclusion.
When a divorce has been filed, it is fair to assume all potential is gone and there is little hope or none at all the marriage will continue. It is over.
After filing, it is not frowned upon to begin dating if one is so inclined. Some do, others will wait until the it is granted. Others may wait until after it is finalized.
Hope this helps, good luck.

I would not count it as an affair. The people who are arguing that "separated = married" are incorrect. That is just a matter of semantics. Separated is a step away from divorce, no? I guarantee that if a woman was seeing someone else, she would not consider it an affair, so do not beat yourself up over it.

Find the person that makes you happy, that is who you should be with.

Until the divorce papers are signed you are still married.
You are committing adultery if you are sleeping with them. It is an affair. With the quickie divorce that only take 6 months. Cool your jets.
My lawyer told me to make sure I did not do anything that could be used against me in court. If your going out to dinner do it with a couple of your guy friends if you are a guy or girlfriends if you are a girl. Go out with your kids or your family.
You will have lots of time for lust later and it will be legal

Well you was married and I mean I think you should tell your wife...unless of course yall are getting a divorce then it wouldnt really matter...but yeah I think it would be best to be honest....I dont know about an affair though because yall was seperated.

The purpose of seperation is to give each other space to work out differences. It also gives you a chance to see how much you love each other, and whether you are happier being apart.
By seeing someone, you don't allow the process to take place and you complicate matters by introducing outside influence into the process.
I'd say yes. It's adultery.

Depends on the separation...was it just something the two of you agreed on...or was it a court documented sep? If you were legally separated then no the marriage has been dissolved but there are other aspects of divorce to be finalized. If you just agreed to try a sep...then yea it was cheating because usually that means you are still trying to make things work.
