I've never heard of them, but I know that they are not a SAG franchised agency.
How did you hear about them? Legitimate agents very rarely approach people in public and tell you they think you have a great look and you should come in and see them. They get soooo many people requesting to be seen, they just don't need to approach people like that. The most important thing is did they ask you for money? Any legitimate agency will not ask you for money or tell you that you need to spend $2000-3000 or more for expensive classes through a specific place. Anyone doing that is likely getting a percentage of that fee and you should runaway from them as fast as you can. That is the scammers M.O. They hire people to go to local malls, etc. and they approach tons of unsuspecting people and tell them that their child is adorable and could be model or has such a unique look that Hollywood would love them or whatever lines they're using now. They may even tell you that they'll put ou on camera and it won't cost you anything... that is until tey get you in there and tell you how great your 'audition' went and you have so much potential but you need these expensive classes and workshops. Yes, you do need classes andworkshops but the ones they offer generally leave much to be desired and can be found for much less than what they offer them at.
If you want to find a legitimate agent to represent you for commercials, TV & film go to Sag.org. Use the dropdown menu on the right labeled 'resources' and choose 'agent information'. On the next screen, on the left choose 'Find a SAG franchised agent' and follow the directions. You can look up agents all over the US, but there are higher concentrations where the work is (Los Angeles, NY, IL, FL, GA etc.)
Then you can send them your headshot, resume, and a cover letter stating that you are seeking representation and wait to see if they call you in for an interview. Also, look around and find your own classes.
Good luck!

I'd suggest looking at websites like Craigslist or whatever has classifieds in your area. There are often students in photography or people who have just started their own companies and they're looking for experience or developing a portfolio, who will be willing to do it for free or cheap, AND they'll be professional quality. I don't know if you guys have a Sears down there (I'm in Canada so I'm not really up on what the big stores are) or Macy's or something that has a portrait studio, maybe you can get headshots done there. Or if your school has student IDs made up or class pictures you can ask THAT photographer what they would charge for headshots. Point is, unless your parents are legitimate photographers, don't go that route, go the professional route. If you have to save up, then that's what you'll have to do, but you've got to present yourself as being serious--it's not a vanity thing, it's just the equivalent of wearing good clothes to a job interview. Good luck :)

Based out of Atlanta, one of the largest and most respected kids agencies in the SE. Known for discovering Dakota Fanning...represented Kyle Massey, Raven Simone, Diana Degarmo and lots others. Very selective. This a right to work state and much work here is non-union. She dropped her SAG status a couple of years ago. They have a sister agency in LA, Osbrink. Even without being SAG, she still gets union castings and bookings. Facility fee is charged during her open calls (small) because so many kids want to be repped by them that she needs to rent space. Next open call is this summer. My son is repped by them. Check her website. She has no problem with placements!
Oh-if you can't make the open call, they accept pictures in the mail.

The best way to find out whether or not it is a scam is how you heard about them in the first place. Did they contact you? If so, then your scam alert should sound... most agencies and companies will not seek people out randomly. If a company contacts you, it would be because you contacted them first.
So, if you were contacted by them, I would say that it's possible they are pretending to be an actual agency, but if you heard of them from someone and contacted them, then you're safer.

Check with the SAG/AFTRA office in your town. Don't sign anything. Don't pay anything. If you can simply drop off headshots and be sent out on auditons through them, go for it.
