I think it is the Colorado Avalanche... The first player that comes to mind is Chris Drury. Then Alex Tanguay, Stephane Yelle, Marc Denis, Derek Morris, Keith Ballard, Steve Reinprecht, Paul Kariya, Teemu Selanne, Radim Vrbata, David Aebischer, Peter Forsberg, Rob Blake, Brian Willsie, Brad May, Martin Skoula, Robyn Regehr, Adam Foote, Dan Hinote, etc. That is not all of them but there are many and most are making a significant impact with their current team.

I have done studies on this, but none lately. Your approach would tend to reward teams that tend to "churn" players. By that I mean teams that make lots and lots of trades, so that players play for a short time and then move on. Bad teams usually make moves just to shake things up; the good teams tend to have fewer players.
A related question, and maybe closer to what you are asking, concerns who has drafted the most NHL players -- even if they are currently elsewhere. If memory serves, New Jersey was always around the top of that statistic year-in and year-out, although I haven't done it lately.

A player can only play for one team at a time. Once he is traded he is no longer property of the previous team.
