Yea man I ride in the winter forget these people....

You need to get a second tire, and have someone install ice screws to the nubs.

I have done this for years and I have more fun than on my snowmobile

I wouldn't recommend riding in the snow. A guy I work with puts a car tire on his the back of his bike in the winter. He said it gives him better traction. I've heard of other people doing this too. He rides into work every day of the year......except when it snows.

You can ride in the snow. But why?

Most people who race or ride on ice have enduro style bikes. Not street bikes.

And most riders have lots of dirt experience.

riding a street bike on snowy icy roads, if you are not experienced? is not a good plan. take the bus

I live in the heart of Ohio and ride year round. I don't know of any "snow" type tires on the market, so my suggestion is that you make sure your rubber is in good condition, get a heat suite (they are great, just plugs into the battery on your bike), and be safe.

Have fun

Ouch is all I can say for riding in the snow... There is nothing to do when you start to slide, you go down hard with the weight of the bike on you...... Not really any safe way.

YES there are such things as tyres for snow - for snow racing. They have dirty great long spikes set in them to give good grip and they do, the bikes bank at incredible angles. Whatever you do, if you can find some and fit them, DON'T ride over anyone - for obvious reasons.

A guy that I was in the military with used to ride his from the barracks to the hanger, but I have no idea how he kept it upright. I rode in the snow once and dumped the bike repeatedly.

You can ride your bike in snow, and you can ride it off a cliff.

Neither is a really good idea.

Cars don't fall over when they lose traction, but bikes sure will.

I have seen people in Boston years ago with knobby tires on a bike. I imagine you need to keep the speed very low
