"Friends, today the US Senate if trying to fast track the largest amnesty for illegal aliens in our nations history! This is a terrible bill, S. 1348, and it contains amnesty for the 12-22 million illegals in America, increases legal immigration by hundreds of thousands per year, requires Americans to pay trillions in new taxes and debts for benefits for illegal aliens, national biometric ID, and will lead to over 100 million new people in America within 20 years! We know that the vast majority of Americans oppose these measure but most of the Senators are listening to the illegal alien groups and the Global corporations within the US Chamber of Commerce instead of America's citizens.

Maybe it's time for non natives to shut the hell up about immigration. The first answer said that natives attacked when the white people came...and that's crap. They welcomed the new people to their lands and kept them alive (remember thanksgiving?). And for their kindness they were nearly wiped off the face of the earth. Why don't you rightwingnuts just be honest for once in your lives and say "we don't like Mexicans". America isn't full and most of the people how come across the southern border just want a better life for themselves and are more than willing to work harder than the people who take America forgranted because they were born there. All this anger angainst illegal immigrants is just rightwing propoganda trying to distract voters. Give people the right to live on the grid and they will produce and consume, they will do jobs and (if given the chance) they will create jobs. America is a nation of people from other places and if you don't want a hispanic to marry your daughter then forbid it. If you want this to be a white country then stand up and say it, but don't hide behind some "law and order" BS to hide your racism.

I find it peculiar that those who oppose 'illegal immigrants' fail to recognize that their very own ancestors were the first 'illegal immigrants' to invade this country. Had it not been for 'white' Europeans who came to this new land to free themselves of tyrannical, oppressive government and religious persecution, MOST of us wouldn't even be here today!
And what did the 'white men' do when they came to this land? They cheated and killed the only true 'Americans' - native Indians who nurtured the land, considered the land sacred, and took dedicated dominion over all man, plants and animals so that they all could survive. The 'illegal immigrants' from Europe then proceeded to move westward and slaughtered millions of buffalo for the sheer 'sport' of it, practically making that animal extinct. If an Indian killed a buffalo, it was all used for food, clothing and shelter. If an Indian had a precious possession, he considered it an honor to give it away to someone less fortunate. If an Indian used the land, he used it for the common good of all his people.
But the 'white man' decimated the frontier, put fences up to protect 'his' property, and shipped the Indians off to reservations. Instead of being stewards of this great land, these first 'illegal immigrants' drowned themselves in waste, excess and debauchery, which continues in this country today.
Yes, it's time to stand up and fight: fight to return this land to its rightful owners, who were true caretakers of their God-given land and were even willing to share it with those first 'illegal immigrants' who came from Europe and destroyed a civilization. -RKO- 05/23/07
