I've been through the sharing apartment thing with others. Honestly no matter how spacious the closets are or how great the neighborhood is you will still have problems living with others. Because everyone has various moods, karmas and bad habits you may not tolerate well. If you have to share an apartment with others directly in it because of finances etc. I suggest that your dry goods try to keep them in your room and label and place cold foods in the kitchen. unless your room mates can decide to keep the peace by allowing you to buy a dorm size refrigerator to be placed inside your room. If all else fails nothing beats having your own place to live rents are very expensive these days especially in the city.

I look for a nice floor plan, plenty of storage space, no major structural defects, and a small but nice yard. As for the location, it must be in a relatively safe neighborhood.
