Of course you can always make arrangements to hook up during the weekend when you have extra funds. The least expensive way to hang out should you have to fly. If you have a mutual friend whom lives not far from either University. Schedule flights like a month in advance plan a get together with your friends at their place. It saves money on flights and everyone gets to hangout together at the same time. If you prefer the greyhound bus has cheaper rates than airlines but you'll lose valuable time that could be spent with friends by traveling on the bus.

Of course it is, but the important thing to remember is this: You are at the start of a new chapter of your life, where you will meet new friends and branch out and explore your growing world, you will make new friends, but it doesnt mean you can't stay in touch with the old ones too. Move with change, embrace it and look to the future with optimism, you have a great deal to look forward to. And you will still have your old friends and find time for them, they won't vanish overnight because your life is moving along.

Yes...

Make new friends but always keep the old ones. And especially if its people who you grew up with than you should try to keep in touch with them as much as you can and try to visit them every once in a while or invite them over...
