You did not say what kind of Internet connection you use, but begin by contacting your ISP. They should be able to help you change basic information like your IP address and screen name so that the "hacker" will be back to square one on his ability to get into your computer.

If he is hacking an acount (such as your e-mail or myspace) then stop using that account. Have it shut down. If you still want to use that site, create a new account with a totally different name. Do NOT publically advertise that the new account is "you" so that the hacker can not relocate you.

As far as your home address, about all you can do with that is move.

If the abuse that you are receiving is criminal in nature you can file a complaint with your local police dept. They have forensic computer experts to trace the IP address of the sender, of even obtain a warrant if the abuse meets the guidelines of the courts so the police can visit the person's home and take his/her computer away.

Hacking is a felony crime and the person will receive jail time/plus a hugh fine.

The only thing you can do is report it to the site admin, who is under no obligation to act on the information you give.

If you know the persons ISP you can normally send an email to abuse@ISP.com replacing ISP, with that persons ISP.

If it is anything serious or illegal (ie threats, etc) then report it to the police.

You could report it to the police, I think this kind of thing is a criminal offence in the UK.
