Depend on how tall they are. Google BMI and work it out based on her height.

Its not about her age, but more about her height. If she is tall for her age or does alot of ballet or dancing classes, and alot of exercise then her weight might be in muscle more than in fat. tell her to check her height and then search for a bmi calculator on the internet. and anyway, 12 is too young to be worried about being overweight. that all usually comes in later.

It depends on her height and build. I weigh 48kgs and my 12 year old daughter weighs 35kgs. We are both small built, but neither of us are underweight.
If your friend is heavily built, she could be ok. Get her to check her body mass index on google.

There is no correct answer to this as every body is built differently and can have more body weight due to muscle but I would say she is okay weight but as I say depends on height and body structure.

the body mass index ( tells you if your overweight or not from your height and weight) for the height and weight you provided is a healthy 22-23, no need to lose weight at all.
