by picture i think you mean painting. I doubt its a ghost. Is it possible that you hadn't noticed it before or maybe dust was covering that particular detail. Im not convinced that it just appeard. It is highly likely that your eyes have always been drawn away from that detail by possibly more vibrant colors or intricate details and are only now noticing it.

I believe the paintings name is Allegro and the painter's name is M Ditef. You may like to take a look at:
http://www.ditlef.com/theirstory.html
http://www.ditlef.com/Antoni.html
http://www.ditlef.com/MD.html
Hopefully you'll be able to compare you painting to one of those!
Also might be an idea to take a picture now of the painting and see if it changes in the future - then you'll know for sure if it is!
If you're convinced that there's something strange happening with the painting you could forward details on to somewhere like:

Hope this helps!

In the Way back, artists could not afford canvas and so would paint over their own works or works of others. I'm guessing with age and sun exposure you are getting those images coming through.

Yes, it sounds like it to me. It is really odd that they appeared after a little while instead of right after you got the film developed!

Take it to an antique specialist, they can determine the authenticity & age of each stroke of the brush.
