When you don't get the job done, you end up not being able to override vetos--right?

Liberal Democrats have been underperforming for 30 years. They haven't changed they're playbook in so long everyone is on to them. They can't even tell people they're Liberals. They have to re-disguise themselves as Moderates.

This last election cycle they ran on hatred of President Bush. That kind of emotion carried them to a small victory, but will it last? Not unless they give voters a reason to vote FOR them.

Well, one would deduce that with only 30 % of the seats up, one would have to already have had over half of the seats to override a veto, since 30 % is close to 1/3, and it takes 2/3 to override a veto.

Ah, math is such a wonderful thing. Even in politics it comes in handy.

It is a fact that low voter turnout leads to Republicans winning.

You'd better hope that the massive voter registration campaigns and public interest in this election cycle proves that wrong if you think Republicans are going to win. The majority of the country votes Democrat, as long as we can get them out to vote.

I predict we will have record numbers of people coming out to vote for change again!

have you seen the early polls for the 2008 Congressional elections? Dems are already leading Repubs by 20%. That's really scary considering Bush just threw the entire GOP into one egg basket with Iraq.

Looks to me like you are missing the fact again.

Last I heard the Democrats washed out the corrupt dead branch terrified war preaching and torturing republicans in the last mid-term elections.

So why the lie?

You forget only 30% of Congress was up for reelection. We took territory, but not enough.
