He says that he wanted to know what it felt like to "beat a dead horse" ... apparantely, he has some sick fascination with that saying.
He was hired only a couple days before the horse died; do you think he may have poisoned the horse or something?
He obviously is an unstable man .... should the owners of the barn have an autopsy done on the horse?
I am good friends with the owner, and I feel very bad for them and this unfortunate incident.

ROTFL An "unstable" man. I'm still cracking up. The owners should hire a more stable man.

If this is true, it's really sad. If it's not, it's too funny!!! But, if it really happened then I would actually autopsy the horse to make sure he died of natural causes, or whatever and then I would FIRE that man for doing that! I don't care if the horse was dead! That's too weird!

Absolutely tell them, especially if the horse was in good health until this psycho arrived!! At the very least, have the dude fired. He shouldn't have access to the horses.
