I have a booked vacation package in mid-September. The details are as follow: 2 adults and 1 child, 3-days DisneyWorld Resort and 4-days Bahamian Cruise, and we're flying in from Los Angeles to Florida.

We will be staying at the Dolphin/Swan resort for the land portion for 3 nights, along with all-day Disney Park-Hopper tickets. Then sail off to the Bahamas inside the Disney Wonder in a Category 6 Deluxe Stateroom.

The package include ground transfers, and Travel Insurance.
The total price for the entire package is $4997.86.

Is this a good deal?

I'm sure you could have paid less buying most of it a la carte. For each of our 20 visits I have found booking it all myself has saved me much more money than booking a package. Plus there are perks to staying at one of Disney's resorts. One, if you stay with them they will take care of your luggage from the airport as they whisk you away to your resort; this is free of charge (transfers and luggage handling). The shuttle transportation to and from the parks if you stay at one of their resorts is available all day long. Many of the other resorts only offer scheduled transportation to the parks and back. Also by staying at their resort in September will qualify you for the free dining plan; imagine the money you'll save on food. This in itself is reason to book it on your own. The drawback is doing all the leg work yourself which I don't mind doing if it means saving money. Talk to your travel agent and have her or him figure out some different numbers for you at a Disney resort plus the complimentry dining plan.

That sounds about normal for that type of vacation. It doesn't look like you got any real good deals, but is sounds about right.

You are going during hurricane season, so that saves you some money for both the land and sea portion. Since you are staying at the Swan and Dolphin you won't get all of the perks of staying onsite, but you still get some of them, and a lot more than if you were offsite.

As the other answer said since you are going in mid-September you should qualify for free dining, but it is not offered at Swan and Dolphin. Not sure if you would be willing to switch resorts, or if you are able to. But, it is a great deal and the plan is great. I think that it is well worth paying for the dining plan, so it is even better if it is free.

Based on your price I'm assuming that you went with the Disney travel protection as well as the transfers. You probably could have saved a little money getting your transfers on your own outside of Disney. And you definitely could have saved money on your insurance, not sure if you have everything covered or not, it depends on what you went with

I'm not sure if you got your air through Disney or not, if you did you may have been able to save a little getting it outside of your package, but the price is still pretty good if you did get it through Disney, so I'm not sure how much you could have saved.

So, overall I would say you did pretty well. Is it possible to save a little more money, more than likely yes.... But, I think you will be happy with what you have.

Have a great time!

Wow... that seems like a lot to me but it does include your airfare and Disney tickets - both of which are not cheap your price is probably about right.

We paid about that much for a 7 day Disney Cruise this past March for 2 adults and 3 children for a Cat. 3 Deluxe room with a balcony. Now ... granted - we did get a couple of discounts - (we are Castaway Cay members and Florida locals). Plus we did not need airfare and we are season passholders to the parks.

We are going to Disney on June 6th - 9th - Staying at the Beach Club resort in a one bedroom suite and our final price is $1200.00 - (just for the resort only - nothing else included) So, maybe that will give you an idea.

Either way it sounds like you are going to have a great vacation. You'll love the Disney cruise! All the great food you'll eat on the boat should make up for the price you are paying for the trip!

Enjoy!

hi! even however the Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin inns are on Disney aspects, they don't seem to be owned by way of Disney. So no, it would not prepare. Park hopper value $fifty two according to guy or woman for a million day. yet only like magic your way park tickets the extra you play the fewer you pay. So it may be some entire of $2 hundred for the week through fact you are able to result spending like $6 an afternoon for park hopper. I misinform you presently.

I wouldn't know if it is a deal or not...but try staying on disney property (swan is not owned by disney...just on their property). If you stay on disney property then you can get free dining because you are staying for at least 3 nights but you have to book it by 06-24-07. Check with your travel agent to see what rooms are available for the free dining...you might be able to save some $$
