Well i know what Crossfire and SLI are but i'm confused about one thing....if i own a motherboard which supports Nvidia SLI technology and i buy 2 ATI cards that support Crossfire will the cards run properly on the motherboard without any bottle-necking???

No they will not work, the board will only support the technology it is designed to work with, an SLI board will only run SLI and a Crossfire board will only run Crossfire. You can run one video card from the opposite manufacturer, but not run two using the opposing technology.

Don't waste your money on the ATI's. Greater voltage requirements, they run hotter and they benchmark lower then the Nvida's which cost less.
