Sorry, only Vitamins A, D, E, and K are fat soluble, the rest are water soluble.
No, I would not put butter on food for an infant, anymore than I would put salt on it. You want them to develop a taste for the real food before adulterating it.
Twenty-two weeks sounds young for potatoes to me as well. But if you and the doctor are okay with mashed potatoes and you need something to make it a softer texture for her to eat, add a little milk to the potatoes.

Yes. There is no value in specifying organic butter, or any other foods; in terms of nutrition they are all equivalent. All the "organic" label does is to increase the price.

Butter actually *should* be served with all vegetables. Most of the nutrients in veggies are "fat-soluable" and they need some sort of fat to be served with them so that they can absorb the nutrients.

A little sprinkle of sea salt wouldnt be a bad idea, either. You know, the grey looking stuff? You only need a couple crystals.

Salt faccilitates brain fuction by forming glial cells in the brain... glial cells are the cells that help us to make connections and think faster.

22 weeks is still a bit young for solids though...

EDIT:
So, A, D, E and K aren't important?

Not a problem at all... the biggest mistake that we make is trying to give our kids low-fat diets... young kids need fats for healthy development and brain function. So, put butter and milk into the potatoes...

Why don't you try giving them without butter first and see if she likes them. Most babies like pretty bland food.
I know, you're probably thinking "Potatoes with no butter...Yuck." But she doesn't know any different so don't let your tastes dictate what you feed her.

Did your doctor say it was okay for your baby to have potatoes at 22 weeks? They can be kind of hard to digest. Either way, I would not be putting butter on them. You don't want her to start developing a taste for fat at this early age.

Well it is. Buut I wuldnt the baby really needs to learn to like things without all the glamour. You have to introduce something 50x's to a baby before they really decide whether they like it or not. So if I were you i'd just keep trying.
