You do not have to "sign up" but if you want to "officially" join go to www.GOP.com. With age comes wisdom. Welcome!

yes you can !
it happens all the time
usually when a person wakes up and realizes how immoral and corrupt the democratic party is!

they say you get wiser as you age
some are fortunate to have a straight head at a young age!

the whole "you don't become republican until your 60 thing" is invalid
i have been a registered republican since i was 18!

i am 26 now :-)

My father side of the family were ALL democrats until Clinton pulled his bs!
they all changed parties!!
that is 1 reason i like Clinton so much
he showed the democrats true colors!

and lead my fathers side of the family in the right direction!

you can change your political party at your local board of elections!

Be sure to change before the primaries
because you will not be able to vote Republican if you are not registered

WELCOME!

I suppose that any thing is possible. If you are a registered Democrat then be sure to change your party before the primaries, that way you can vote in Republican primaries. Find your voter registration card for detials about how to do this in your area.

I am not from Utah but in most states you only have to declare your party affiliation to vote in primary elections. In the general election you can vote however you wish. In my state, if you want to change your party affiliation you just have to show up at the poll on primary day and tell the clerk which party you are declaring. The clerk then adjusts the machine so you can only select candidates in that party.

Welcome aboard!

I switched back when I was about 25.

I was sucked right in as a youngster like too many others were when they still taught how much of a hero Kennedy was (male ho) and how good Carter is for our country (stick with peanuts baby.)

All you have to do is go and re-register. See your registrar of voters or if you see people with petitions on the sidwalk pushing some initiative or something they have forms and local political or campaign offices usually have them too. Your post office may be worth trying also. Our local post office has voter registration forms.

Changing party affiliations from Republican to Democrat is as easy as getting a lobotomy and a soul-ectomy. Not as easy coming the other way, since you have to get those things back, and it's not like they have a coat-check for this sort of thing.

I did. I still support many liberal issues though. But Democrats have gotten really looney and they would frighten the bejeezes out me if they were in charge of defense. They don't believe the rampant Muslim conflicts all over the world that's right in front of them, yet they believe all sorts of bizarre conspiracy theories.

Only a select few are ever brave enough to make the transition. Congratulations!

Just go to the post office or DMV and re-register to vote.

Just vote. I consider myself an independent who has republican tendencies, but I am considering voting in the democratic primary--just to vote against Hilary. She scares me.

You can vote for whomever you think is the best candidate.
