That information is also from 1999 so it is not quite up to date but It does not consider % of failed marriages. It only takes into account the number of people who got divorced. It also states that three of those states have really low average incomes which has a big factor on the success of a family. I personally do not believe in divorce but I think that if someone in the bible belt gets a divorce it does not make them a hypocrit. Every person in this world makes mistakes. It is not our job to judge them.

Why would libs care? Other than the extreme right who preach their morals on others, as well as the some people on the left, no body wants to impose their morals on others. I know I don't. I don't care who gets divorced becasue it is not immoral.

Because religion is used MOSTLY to enhance the "taboo" feeling of "sin". Its a "Western" philosophy. Seperate sex from everything else to enhance it.

This is turn leads to an emphasis on satifaction, hypocritical or not.

And in Massachusetts, thev "Gay marriage capital of the world" we have the lowest divorce rate in the country!

So much for all bad things being "liberal".

Quite simple:

Who wants to be married to a person that ignores reality, believes in a chimera and commands everyone to follow that medieval punk?

Many find out later that christian doublespeak in public replaces modest conduct in reality.

It's funny, people on the right, the conservative "Christians", told us that gay marriage would destroy the institution of marriage. Massachusetts, the only state which gives the unadulterated title of marriage to gay/lesbian couples, has the lowest divorce rate in the U.S.A.

The Bible Belt states have the highest divorce rates in the nation. So who is the bigger threat to marriage: Gays? Or born-again straight protestants?

What is the marriage rate in relation to the rest of the country? Divorce is not as immoral as fornication and adultery.

Because they're hypocrites and don't practice what they preach and the link you provided is proof of that.
