although I'm not into secular music I must give props to the following:
Hot For Teacher / Freebird / ThunderStruck
I can't make up my mind on which is better, and there are more. BTW: if you missin some Stevie Ray Vaugh action check out the new album by Jonny Lang called "Turn Around"
good Christian message, with some dirt on that guit fiddle.

Hot For Teacher starts with the great drums by Alex Van Halen, some of which are overdubbed to give it an almost engine like effect, It's also a good Roth era song, but I don't think it qualifies as the greatest ever but it is a good song. Freebird has some great soloing at the end, but when you come from West Virginia like myself you tend to get tired of Freebird since it cranks through someones stereo every five seconds, it's a documented fact that every five seconds in Wv, someone is going to listen to Freebird! lol! Thunderstruck is a good driving rock n' roll song, simple and to the point. My pick for greatest rock song would be Won't Get Fooled Again by The Who.

Freebird stands out as the great rock song in the trio you suggested. When I was in High school, it was te anthem for all of us mixed up kids who lied to hang out at the handball courts. We all listened to Van Halen and AC/DC as well. But, in my neighborhood, if your band did not play Freebird, you didn't have a band.

Those songs blow. I'm not into "cockrock" or typical bar rock, I prefer something a little more intelligent.
