my neighbor has built a playing set on my yard. Am I liable for injuries that can potentially happen to the children playing on the playing set? thanks

If you willingly are allowing your neighbor to put a play set on your yard then you are under the law willingly accepting liability. Call your home insurance carrier IMMEDIATELY. At minimum your insurance carrier can add a rider to your policy which will help if someone is injured. At worst you have voided your home insurance policy.

Do not sit on this, if some darling kiddie gets injured on your property the darling's parents can sue you because the play set is on your property.

The fact that this play set was bought by the neighbor does not absolve you of liability.

Yes, both of you are liable.
Because courts, the law and gov agencies now control so much of everyday life, and because parents are ever so ready to sue to make a buck, cities and towns pay out fortunes replacing playground equipment. to cut down the mere rick of injury. Many also close playgrounds and remove equipment.
A sad and un-fun fact of life

No. If he is the full owner, then he assumes full responsibility for any injuries that occure from playing on the set.

If you are the owner of the set, and he only assembled it for you, then you are liable, even if it is due to the assembly.
