Did any of you get pregnent and did not even know it? What week did you find out?

When I turned 38, I had 3 children, ages 17, 15, and 12. I had been taking Ortho Tri Cyclen Birth Control pills successfully for 11 years. About 2 months after my birthday, I started getting pains in my stomach whenever I ate. As a result, I began to have little appetite and subsequently began to loose weight. I started having heartburn, which I had never had before. I started living on mostly toast and soup and lost some more weight. I was carrying around
about 50 pounds too much and thought this wasn't the recommended way to loose weight, but it was working. I had a normal period in November and December. January's period was a little lighter and shorter than normal and I chalked it up to whatever was bothering my stomach must be messing with my hormones, too. In February, I went for my yearly physical. We talked about my stomach, my doctor diagnosed Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Then she did a pelvic exam! She had an alarmingly surprised look on her face when she said my cervix felt pregnant. We both had a good laugh over that. She sent me to pee in a cup since pregnancy would be the easiest to eliminate as the reason for my cervix abnormality. She said when that came back negative then we would move on to other tests until we figured out what was wrong with me. I just about fell naked off the exam table when the nurse brought back the "positive" from the pee test. My doctor was still not convinced I was pregnant and brought out the Doppler to listen. We were both speechless when we heard that beautiful little heartbeat clear as a bell. There was no way to determine by my last period how far along I was since I was still having periods. She sent me for an ultrasound and we were flabbergasted to find out I was 17 weeks along and neither my husband nor I had any idea! Having been pregnant 3 times, I was always one of the first to scoff at the idea that a woman could be pregnant and have no idea! Well, it happened to me and I no longer scoff at anyone's surprise pregnancy no matter how far along they are.

I was 8 weeks pregnant before I found out becuase I have irregular periods and will miss periods for months. I was over the moon though and at least got through the earlier months without worrying.

I found out at the doctors. I have stomach problems which make me feel ill all the time so I had no idea!
I was totally shocked and 9 weeks pregnant, but at the same time it was the blessing of my life. :)
