Hi, I have a desktop I use at home, and a laptop, I was wondering if there is anyway to set it up so whatever emails that are on my desktop and are also on my laptop and vice versa, I don't know what this is called but hope you know what I mean? I'm sure others will have needed to do the same?

Just like to say the email address I use is an @ntlworld.com one, but if that is a problem I can change...

Again I need the same emails, inbox, outbox, sent items etc.. on both computers.

Thankyou.

Not familiar with ntlworld, but what you want is an email account with a large enough "in box" that you can leave all your email in there. Since the inbox is normally on the server, and not your local computer, you see the same inbox content from any computer.

Most programs will allow you to make folders within your inbox to do additional sorts of e-mails. I use a yahoo account which currently as over 1000 emails in it, that I can access from any of my five home computers or either of my work computers.

You do NOT want an account that uses Outlook Express to access the email. Express moves all the emails off your server and on to your local computer. So you can only see it if you are on the correct computer.

Hello,

Assuming you're using a client-server based setup, one way to do what you're describing is to keep all of your messages on the mail server. There is a setting in most mail clients to do that. It's usually called something like "keep all messages on server." The other way, which is much less complicated to maintain, is to use a good Web-based mail service, such as GMail from Google. With a Web-based mail service, you access your e-mail through a Web browser. Your messages are stored at the Web site. So, if you can access the Web site from both computers, your messages will be there no matter what computer you use.
