My home was built in 1900's and i have tried reasearching it many times it is located in ocilla georgia. any suggestions on how i can find information?

Does Ocila have a court house or records department like that? What you need are the original deeds to the property from the past owners who have staked claim. They keep them in records. You can then take those names and search more, ie google them or the builder/architect, the tax records, etc.

I'm in Georgia too.

Your county recorders website, enter the house number and street and you can go back through previous owners and records

One place to search is at the county recorder's office. They should have records of all land titles in the county.

Try searching it by names of owners. Also see how far back public records go in the area.. geneology depts. like at the libary may help.
