I am eight weeks pregnant now but last week I went for an ultrasound and they said they saw the heartbeat and the baby is growing right on target to the due date, which is Jan 1. I am nervous cause I still have no symptoms once so ever. I don't even feel pregnant? I haven't had symptoms really at all the whole time, should I be scared. Do you think I should worry?

Don't create problems where there aren't any. Just relax and enjoy your symptom free pregnancy. Have you any idea how many women suffering from morning sickness envy you right now?

i am now 11 weeks and around 8 weeks i was worried that my body might "forget" to be pregnant becuase i didn't feel any different (bar a bit more tired). I was told week 9 is the peak of first trimester symptoms. I didn't noitce any really (bar a bit of spotting which freaked me out but turned out to be nothing serious) and then at week 10 i felt a bit nauseous a few times. Infact it felt a bit like a hangover in the mornings and in the early evening. You might feel stretching pains in your abdomen come next week for a few weeks. This is common weks 9-11 when the ligaments start to stretch. However some women don't feel it either. You may be one of the lucky ones. You should just relax and feel contented rather than worried at this stage. Good luck

Don't worry - lots of women don't feel pregnant until they actually see/feel the baby move (around 18 weeks). It's actually pretty common, I hear - it's a pretty unbelievable thing to think that you have a little person growing in there! Symptoms can come and go, but if you are having an easy 1st trimester just be happy!! You're very lucky to miss out on some of the more uncomfortable symptoms.

The worse thing to do is be scared or worried. Stress can only make things more complicated. As long as the doc. said that everything is fine and growing naturally, you are fine. I am sure that you will experience pregnancy symptoms soon. Just don't be worried or scared. Hope this helps, good luck!

I'm just a week or so ahead of you in my pregnancy, and I haven't had hardly any symptoms either. We're lucky, just be glad you're not puking all the time! I'm sure everything is fine since the doctor has confirmed the heartbeat.

A wise man once said (my husband) - "just because you don't throw up after a roller coaster doesn't mean you missed the roller coaster experience."

It seems to me that women either have too little or too much to worry about. If you are feeling fine and dandy - GREAT! Brag about it! hooray for you! THIS IS NO CAUSE FOR WORRY! You saw a heartbeat, the doctor said the baby's healthy. Repeat after me - There is nothing to worry about.

To Christy - just hang in there? Things will get better? things are already fantastic for her! She's havnig an easy pregnancy, what's better than that!?

An extra heartbeat is evidence of a symptom of pregnancy.
Why worry about the absence of unpleasant effects?
Be happy!
And don't go nuts with the ultra-sound procedures. They are not proven to be harmless for you or the baby.

Don't worry, I never had any symptoms except for a couple of days of heartburn. As long as the Dr. says everything is alright and you saw the heartbeat I wouldn't worry.

In Hypnobirthing we basically say "if you don't want it don't go there". In other words think positive and don't borrow trouble. Not every pregnant woman has morning sickness and sore breasts at the beginning of pregnancy. Be happy that you don't have these symptoms and do your very best to stay calm and stress free. That way you can enjoy your pregnancy.

Sending you happy birthing thoughts!
