Was anybody else dissapointed on the season finale of 'Law and Order ;Criminal Intent?

was anybody else disapointed that they killed what could have been a nice relationship for Detective Mike Logan ?

I didn't catch all of it...but what I did, yes...I mean she seemed so nice and after everything he'd been thru it would've been nice for him to have a steady relationship.

However, I am biased, because I like Det. Goren (love him!) and Eames better....whatever happened to them? Thanks for catching me up.
