In my local videogame shop they showed an amazing demo for the latest Sonic The Hedgehog for the playstation. He saves a princess when her city is being bombed it reminded me of final fantasy.Could anyone tell me more about the game?It is any good?

So from i can gather it is visually stunning but as a game it not recommended.

No, it is probably the worst Sonic game made. Sorry it sounds blunt, but:
1) Camera and character control is sluggish. For example, it takes roughly six seconds to rotate the camera about 90 degrees. Also, timing for some moves, such as the Light-Speed Dash, needs to be far too precise.
2) Atrocious load times. See Youtube link for more. If you have dial-up, the movie is a trivia minigame: about two minutes of it is gameplay, whereas about six minutes or so is load-time.
3) Awful Level design: Sonic almost never gets to full speed, and even the first level requires trial and error.
For a better game, try Sonic and the Secret Rings for Wii. That game is FAR more fun.

Sure Sonic the Hedgehog 06 had many glitches and Sonic kissed Elise, but it was still a good game in my opinion. It introduced a new character Silver the Hedgehog and you got to play Shadow again :P

It is real bad like all the others have said I bought it for my PS3 and it is one of the worst games I have ever played.
Bad loading time at every conversation and cut scenes
The bosses suck
Make one wrong move and you are dead easy to do with the speed you have
Save spots are bad you have check points but once you get to 0 lives you start back at the beginning of the level
Tons of glitches getting stuck or for the camera to turn as well as sonic
The game froze on me a few times
and so on.........
I looked on here to see about the game and people said it was bad but some said it was real good and do not listen to the other people because people just did not like it in 3D so I got the game such a waist of money.

well if you want the truth:
the game is really fun at first but IT CHEATS TOO MUCH!!!!!
it has a lot of glitches e.g (always getting stuck, make 1 mistake and u dead. I mean like if u are running fast and you jump by accident, you dead.) and it's too easy. even on hard. the boss battles suck.
BUT THE THING THAT REALLY...REALLY...REALLY PISSES ME OFF IS THAT DAM FINAL BATTLE AT THE LAST PART OF THE GAME WHEN YOU ARE SUPER SONIC. THE BOSS CAN'T EVEN HURT YOU. DAM!!!!!

I haven't played the game, but I can say that I haven't heard anything good about it. I did read the storyline, and it's really messed up.
But, if you're not a hardcore Sonic fan, you might really like it.
