Does the facility where you hold your troop meetings have a kitchen? Ask them. Also, try your local fire department, church, community center, schools and soup kitchen. Make sure you present what you are doing to the person in charge of the building. More often than not they will be willing to help you out. Make sure you have adults on-site and make sure the kitchen owner knows what you'll be doing there and offer to let them come observe.
If you DO find a place, don't forget to write a thank you note afterward!
Good luck on your silver!!!

Hi, I am pretty familiar with boy and girl scouting. First, remember to clear this with your leader or council because they must approve all meeting sites. Here are some suggestions you might try.
Do you have a boy or girl scout camp near by? The kitchen would be plenty big , would be very cheap and already approved for meetings.
Try your local VFW, American Legion, Elks, Moose - these organizations have kitchems and will usually bend over backwards to help a youth.
Try your local churches or Salvation Army, many have large kitchens for their congregations to use may allow you to use one for a short time.
Remember to send a thnk you to whomever and mention them in your report.
Good luck and congrats on working on your Silver.

This is a tough one, I had a very short lived girl scout experience.
You can ask maybe someone you know with a big kitchen and ask to use it. I'm not aware of any "Rent a Kitchen" places though :\

Some high schools have kitchens for their cooking classes. Since it has to fit their entire class, the kitchens are usually big. Maybe you can ask them to use their kitchen; i'm sure they wouldn't mind esspecially since it's for girl scouts.:)

To be a registered scout you must belong to a Girl Scout Council office.
The Director and her/his staff should be able to direct you to community resources that are safe and reliable (Like places where troop meetings take place.)
Good luck with your event.

You could probably rent an American Legion hall for that amount, if it was during the day.

If you go to church, see if they will let you use their kitchen...they'll probably want you to clean up and everything, but it would be worth it. Good Luck
