map of the Salton Sea some shopping centers, schools etc..?

Question

looking into maybe purchasing a home out in the Salton Sea and would like some back round on the area. I would like some pictures of the area as well as know how far it is from Las Vegas and what road would I take to get there. How is the High Schools and Jr. High. Do they have a community college near by? How big and fast is this city growing? How far is it from Temecula? Thank you very much for your help

I have been out to the Salton Sea a few times to birdwatch..it is one of the biggest birding hot spots in California. I went there in Feb. of this year and had not been out there for 3 years and it has grown a lot since then. There are a lot of little towns out there...Salton City, Calipatria, Niland, and Brawley. Brawley actually has some nice neighborhoods and would probably be the most preferable place to live out there. This area is also probably one of the last places in california where there is affordable housing. It does get extremely hot out there in the summer. I do not know much about the schools out there..you might have to do some internest research for that. It is about a 2 1/2 hour drive to Temecula from there and a 5 hour drive to Vegas.
