In the end only you can make this decision but as your asking for opinions. I would say no, belief in god or gods has caused more conflict than anything else on the planet both now and since time began. Believers lack the confidence in themselves to live as the see things and so look to another for guidance in this life. There may be some comfort in gods if your seeking reassurance in something after this life, but while in this life you are in control of your chioces no-one else. Yes people will impose rules, but it you who choose whether to follow them or not.

Asking the question makes it sound like "should I have a burger or a hot dog?"
a) how should I know what you should have?
b) God is not a thing but a power/spirit/force/entity outside of ourselves we do not have because it is inherently a relationship.
Now, if you're asking, "should I have this relationship?", then that becomes more compelling. Do you sense a void by not having this relationship? But, as has been pointed out already, that is up to you.

Consider the following:
Before the beginning
and after the last
is That, That Is.
Reality dwells in
That, That Is.
The Before dwells
in the Truth.
The Truth dwells
in the Now.
The Now dwells
in Reality.
Reality is an
attitude.
If you have an attitude
you have a God.

retelling my dad's opinion on the subject, if you feel like you need to have a faith, then by all means do. If having faith in a religion makes you a better person, and makes you stronger, than yes. However, if a faith drives you to be intolerant, or confused, or drives you down, then no. And as far as what religion you should follow, look into everything without paying heed to what others say. Religion is all about yourself, and what's in your own heart. Hell, if following the easter bunny makes you a better person, then go for it. Everything has to be personal to yourself. If you feel like a religion would be beneficial, then find one that makes the most sense to you, you agree the most with, and makes you feel the most complete.

That's up to you. If you choose to believe in GOD, then you should have one. IF you choose not to, and believe that this is everything we get out of life, make the most you can of it. Either way, God bless you and have a great life.

You don't have to, just believe there is a source or higher power, that is far greater than us.
I am spiritual, and accepting to all thoughts of a persons belief of a Higher Power. God, Buddha, Mother Earth, it's all the same to me.

you dont ned a god if you belive in your self. A god is an opiate for the masses humans have a natural need to look for higher power. the human will to survive is so much stronger than any fake idol!

You already do. There is only one God, it's just a matter of whether or not you choose to follow Him or not. He loves you and wants to be in relationship with you, all you have to do is confess that you're a sinner, and confess Jesus Christ as your Lord to begin this new relationship with Him.

The question is not whether or not you should have a god, but rather whether you believe God exists.
