Sure Devon is his son and of course any parent worth their salt is going to try and pull their children up, but Devon going from the mail room to point man on a project is a stretch. Neil seems a little salty lately.

Neil is such a great character....he has gone thru so many ups and downs. I'll be glad to see him get a front burner storyline. Victor (Eric Braeden) is going to be off the show for a month or so doing a film. So Neil is supposed to be in charge... So if he is the next meanie, maybe he can kick Brad to the curb!!!!
I don't know what to make of Devon getting out of the mail room. I like the Devon character and the actor playing him is very good.

I wish they would either tell us Dru is dead OR give Neil a new woman! Recall, if you will, not too long before Dru died, Neil was making google eyes at Carmen Mesta! I want him to have a nice woman, and not one of the recycled ones of Genoa City, they need to send in some fresh meat. Since "Passions" is on its last leg, they can bring that girl over that plays Valerie. She'd be a nice added touch.

Devon deserves a break,but I understand your point.I really haven't liked the way the Y&R has portrayed Neil's character in the last few months.

It would be good to be a little evil & get more respect on the show! Love to see him drink again. Thats why Dru left because she wasn't nominated 4 an emmy and felt dissed. Devon is ugly & needs to be axed

Victor put Nicholas in charge of several projects when Nick was still in school, Neil is just following suit.
Neil does seem a little bit grouchy lately, but he did just lose his wife...

I will agree with that point about Devon, a nineteen year old being a point man on a project (that would be like Noah being in charge of Newman Enterprise.) But remember that Brad dogged him out of a lot of stuff with Newman. (Not a brad fan...)

if we were in neil's shoes, we would do the exact thing. its just fun and devon and will keep devon grounded and out of trouble.

Neil has a history of alchoholism and with his wife "dying" and no closure for him it sure is possible
