I saw the web site of the town and it looks very cute and fun also the population is not that big but decent, I like that over a big city. Can anyone tell me how is the weather and the people and the place in general to live there. Too many earthquakes there? Is a dangerous place because of that..how about crime escene.? and Jobs opp.? Any info will be helpful. Z

Weather is better than most towns along the northern CA coast b/c it faces south so is a little warmer. But it's still is kind of cool overall and rains a lot in winter. Temps range from the 50's in winter to 60's and 70's in summer, not hot and not really cold either but kind of cool especially at night. And you'll never be able to swin in the water w/o a wetsuit b/c the water temp never goes above 60. It's a very liberal and hippy type town so be prepared for that culture and mentality. In my opinion I find some of the locals to be jerks, especially the surfers. They are so damn territorial and don't like people coming into "their" town; not all people there are like that but some of the locals are. It's pretty overpriced in my opinion. For how few jobs there are there it's way too expensive.

As far as earthquakes go, you don't worry about them b/c big ones strike so infrequently you can't really worry about them. And they aren't even that bad; bad damage tends to be real spotty and it's much better than living with the threat of hurricanes or tornadoes.

wow. have you ever been to Cali in you life. i live in San Fransisco and i at times frequent the Los gatos/Santa Cruz area. so that being said it costs a lot of money it's not cheap at all what so ever the average rent for a studio apartment is 1500+ so you're going to need to be prepared financially. aside from that it's a gorgeous city. the people are more than friendly. it's a great beach community. crime is none existent at times. it's not really known for it's bad crime rate. job ops are scarce so you might want to search in advance if you're planning on working there. no their isn't any earthquakes, that's funny. it's a great place to live/visit. good luck on your endeavors.

Wow! staggering decision. that's pleasing, alot of issues to do, incredibly outdoor issues, close sufficient to San Fran to be close and additionally to San Jose'. no longer attempting to be insulting although that's a hippy community, very liberal very "open" in case you comprehend what I advise. no longer a conservative or a christian interior miles. o.k. there are some yet they're the minority. I did outreach with a church I used to flow to in Santa Cruz and characteristic vacationed there. i'm now no longer the non secular style i replaced into so i'm no longer casting aspersions at the two ingredient. i'm purely pointing out the information so you might make certain. once you're a liberal amen to ya. once you're a conservative, stable success to ya in Santa Cruz. Libertarians they do no longer comprehend what to think of roughly you yet. Now, economics. Dude, the Cali coast is off limits to you in case you have a funds or are claustrophobic. the completed coast line is somewhat high priced. much extra south in San Louis obispo(i attempted to head there 6 years in the past) is somewhat high priced. My thoughts could be that 2500 a month could get you a small 2 mattress room apt, far off from water. yet once you haven't any longer visited, you may desire to a minimum of flow. it could desire to all be worth it as quickly as you flow to and notice the ask your self. flow to the Monterrey aquarium and flow to pebble sea coast and notice the 17 mile force there, too undesirable you probably did no longer flow on the fourth and notice fireworks on the sea coast.then flow right down to pismo and characteristic the clam chowder and notice Moro Bay, and Cambria and vast Sur and Hearst Mansion. i'm getting jealous. flow and notice i desperate on a 4 mattress room living house on a million/2 acre in Iowa. That exhibits you haw much less costly i'm. Plus im from Iowa. stable success

You don't want to live anywhere near California, it's just a matter of a day or two before the entire state falls into the Pacific Ocean because of an earthquake...LOL

i live here in sc, it is most definitely beautiful, the largest trees(coastal redwoods) great surf, great beaches, great mountains, creeks, rivers, awesome weather, earthiquakes are a blast, crime is average, meth is around but not prominent, pot is legal mostly, good schools, there is a ton to do here, the other place that is similar but less dramatic is san luis obispo.
