- Roll the windows down and leave the AC off if you are in stop and go or slow traffic. But roll the windows up & use the AC if you are doing highway travel because the drag from the open windows will actually use up more gas than using the AC.
- Unload your trunk cuz extra weight can reduce gas mileage for your car.
- Get a tuneup for your car which may improve your gas mileage too.
- Make sure you tires are properly inflated as well since the extra drag from low tires can affect gas mileage.
I hope that helps some! =)

Eat more beans and save the output.
Siphon gas out of your neighbor's car.
Travel to a nearby state that has even cheaper gas, load-up and re-sell for a profit.

ac is really as non issue, get out ALL excess weight in your car, inflate your tires to 5lbs over the recommendation psi(4% better mileage), keep your car clean outside(2% better mileage), drive the speed limit or five mph under (10-12% better mileage), shift quickly in a manual, (2% better mileage)

I would recommend that you take public transportation, like the bus or subway system. Or carpool with friends. Or walk to places if you are close to them.
