Did God come to them and give them authority and if that why dont they put all the body under water as john the baptist did to our lord Jesus crist should'nt we be setting an example like he did?

I too think those people know because no one can trace the line of authority and can go back.and the Mormons have proof of it !

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) believes that their priesthood authority came directly from Jesus Christ.
