nicely. you're onto some thing. i became very plenty against the conflict whilst Bush became President. I nevertheless oppose the conflict and the hot Afghanistan surge with Obama as President. i've got asked the precise same undertaking of many on the left. Why can we supply Obama a bypass? Intel says that just some Al Qaeda are in Afghanistan. i could desire to assist Pakistan involvement as that seems to be the place the action easily is. Afghanistan became a conflict of necessity yet we dropped the ball by way of going into Iraq. It no longer is a conflict of necessity - Pakistan seems to be the area that is mandatory - even with the undeniable fact that it may be far messier - nuclear weapons and all. If we spent even 0.5 the money we are spending on conflict in Afghanistan on development infrastructure, faculties, and so on. there may be no person to combat, and easily, we'd have extra allies in that area of the international. besides - we could disagree, yet i'm hoping you spot that no longer all on the left supply Obama a bypass, and that i believe you that too many on the left are.

You are part of the problem this country has. You know damn well that Republicans do not want to torture other Americans. And yes, if an enemy in war has information that will save lives, get that info at all costs. They behead live captives with pocket knives just to prove their point. We have the most humane Military in the world.

Opposition is fine. It is healthy for a true Republic. The problem with anti-war efforts is when they demean the troops. I am not sure why this is a Republican issue...Democrats voted to go to war as well.

Not all Republicans are for using torture as a means of any gain...I find the idea repulsive.

I don't always agree with Bush but I do support my president....Democrat or Republican. Opinions are so varied that this country would be in a bigger mess than it is now if everyone guided it.

I want the best man for the country in that office, be he demo or repub. BUT, I don't want a cowardly liberal there. We must fight for our freedom. No one wants that.....NO ONE. but, there is no choice at this point. Not if we want to retain our way of life and freedom.

Your question is foolish in my opinion. Guess what? Opinions rarely mean much! Best wishes to you....I mean that.

This is a possible line of "reasoning" for them. Keep your passport up to date and keep a couple thousand dollars in cash handy because the country could turn into a Stalinist police state any day. Better safe than sorry.

As a Democrat I have to say your entire premise is beyond absurd. yes, there are those ultra-righties who really do believe dissent equals treachery and deserves punishment. These people are sincerely nuts and shoudl not be taken seriously. Most republicans are rational. Because we disagree doesn't make us enemies. The enemy is out there.

They should be ignored. We only want to torture the enemy not misguided children who play at sainthood. Many who protest are traitors, many have an agenda that requires Bush to be humiliated and America defeated. Some just have nothing better to do and most are delusional idiots, but that is no reason to torture them. My children and I get a good laugh when we encounter them , and it provides a teachable moment

Only neocon jingoists think that way. Most Republicans are decent people and do not support such things.
