I'm really sorry to hear that you are troubled by these dreams that you are having. Have you any idea what has triggered them off as you might be able to make some sense of it all if you did.
You know they say that dreaming about death is all about rebirth and not death in the natural sense (one door closes and another opens).
Perhaps you have had some trauma in your life and that you have come through it with a new beginning of something...only you will know the answer to this question.
With regards to me being scared of dying I would say I am and I'm not ashamed to admit it. It is something we all have to face and how we face it when the time comes nobody can know.
What truly amazes me about dying and I know I'm stating the obvious but one minute we are here and next we are gone often without any warning.
I suppose what I'm trying to say is that you go and enjoy your life and put all things maudling out of your mind and enjoy what is around you. And what every happens will happen and there is no point worrying about it.
However, if you find it is really playing on your mind to the extend that is it making you ill you would need to go and see your doctor as you could be suffering from anxiety for some reason and you would need help to get you better.
All the very best and try not to dwell on the dying but in living leave the worrying to old fogies like me.
All the best xxx

I am terrified of dying nearly every night i try to not think of death. When i think about it how the hell can there be nothing ever ever ever ever again of me... The only thing I can think of is to pass on my genes, and i suppose that is it. I don't believe in God, i am not spiritual, i would love to be able to believe in reincarnation, but I don't think it is possible. I just don't know what to do, I often question myself WHY? Why me, why am i here, why can i only control my body etc. But no I am not scared of the pain when i die it's the thought that there is nothing else. I'm sorry, maybe i look too deeply into things. But hey enjoy life, i'm gonna make the most of it, well try to! Gonna get a family and pass myself on in that aspect.

Yes I fear the act of dying because I am not ready to leave my family, but I dont fear death because I know that when I die I will spend eternity in Heaven with God and Christ and those loved ones who have gone before me.
No one wants to die a horrible death. For years I literally feared I would die in a car crash. I was so terrified this would happen that every time I got into a car I was nervous. I have been a christian for many years and knew I would go to heaven, but I still didnt want to die that way. I still dont want to, but since I lost my brother 4 years ago and know that he is in Heaven and now has the peace he never found on earth, it kind of put things in perspective for me.

Im not afraid of dying... I'm afraid of dying without having made the world a better place. That my life meant nothing to anyone... that's what scares me.
As far as dreaming of dying, it is said that dreaming of death means a change is coming in your life, either internally or externally. I'd say by you dreaming of a painful death... it'll be a change that will be hard.

No Anna I am not scared to die but I am worried about the path to death. To suffer terrible pain for months and then slowly choke to death is awful but to go out like a light is my ideal.

I am a Christian. The Lord promises absent from the body, present with the Lord. Death where art thy sting. Death has none to a Christian because we know we will be with our Lord for all eternity. I call this a peace that surpasses all understanding in that I have no fear of death. Perfect love that the Lord gives casts out all fear.
Turn your life over to the Lord and He will have you sleeping like a baby during the night. This is easy to do. Just say
"Jesus come into my heart and forgive my sins because I have sinned against you. I believe You are who You say You are. That you were crucified, buried and resurrected and you will come again. Thank you for saving me. Amen."
Now read the Bible every day. God commands us to know His Word, the Holy Bible - King James Version or New King James Version or New International Version and learn how God wants us to live.
Start with the Book of John in the New Testament. You have nothing to be afraid of - Christ's promises are true. Christ will never leave you nor forsake you when you belong to Him. Salvation is a free gift from God. You can't do enough to earn it. Trust the Lord and he'll remove what the devil is putting into your mind. The next time the thought comes in your mind say "get away from me Satan - I follow Jesus." Satan will leave and the thought will leave. You can even sing a Christian hymn

No, because whatever we do in death will mean much more than we do day-to-day. Everybody dies, no one is THAT special where they don't die...You get excited for christmas because you don't know what to expect from Santa Claus. Don't be scared of dying because when you do the answers to your questions will be solved. your mind will be at peace. You're only living out your physical and mental life right now. You have sooo much more to live!

I don't want to be scared of death so I ilke to think of death as the last massive adventure we get to go on. It scares me and excites me too. Who will I get to see? Where will I travel too? Will I finally get to look down on earth from the other side of the stars? Or will everything just go black? The main thing that scares me is that it is the only thing we all really have to do.. TOTALLY alone!!
