I was so excited to be pregnant with my second baby that I registered online when I was six weeks. I thought for sure that it was going to be a girl so I registered for butterfly bedding and purple outfits and things. What a surprise it was at my 20 week ultrasound that we were having another boy! That week, I went to the store and took off all the girly things and put down boy things and added a bunch of things the online store didn't have. Because of that, I'd definately register after you find out the sex of the baby or if you decide to wait until the birth to find out, then I would suggest registering at 5 or 6 months so you're not too tired to shop around the store. Then it'll be done in time, too, because baby showers are usually given around 8 months. Congratulations and have fun shopping.

As soon as I found out what I was having I started my registry. I changed it a little before the baby shower though.

I'd start it a couple weeks before baby shower.
6 months is usually the right timing.

I waited until my 5th month, I wanted to first find out if it was a boy or a girl. that way I know what to choose. My baby shower isn't until my 7th month. So 2months ahead is okay, I think.

I was five or six months. I wanted enough time to get everything together before I had baby. Be sure that you have your shower early enough. I had my baby the day before my baby shower was planned.
