Thats one thing that happens not only in english movies but in most other languages too. Maybe a lot of people are copying English movies these days.

Here is what I have noticed...if there is an all white room, someone is about to die a bloody death, and if there is a child and a dog, the dog dies, the child cries.

That may be so. Funny, I never noticed. But have you noticed that any dog always makes it through? They never kill dogs in Hollywood. The guy with the girlfriend dies, but his dog is indestructible...
