The 70's because there were so many great muscicians and bands at the height of their careers. Also the disco era came in the late 70's which made some people turn to the punk scene, which gave way to much music we have now. I really think the 70's was so brilliant. It also seems like a real american time for america, if that makes sense.

the 60s because this was really the birth of rock as we know it today. All the bands of the 70s copied bands of the 60s. Bands of the 80s copied the previous decades music and so on and so forth so that today the majority of rock bands have copied the 60s rock.

The decade that had the best music will always be the decade of your youth. When we mourn the loss of the "good old days" what we are really mourning is the loss of our youth.

To my Dad the best Music was from the 1930s......To me the best music was from the 1950s......and to my Son and Daugther the best music was from the 1970s. That does not mean any of us are wrong......it just means we see things differently.

60's. It was the era I grew up in, but it started up a whole new type of music. like the Beatles, the Stones etc. It saw the development of electric guitars, Rock'n'roll, real R'n'B and was the most exciting time ever.
