most of america never belonged to mexico. most of it belonged to indians who were NOT even aztecs. much of the land wasnt even stolen, it was sold by drug addicted indians who smoked peyote all day. they wanted guns, money, and more drugs so often times they sold the land. just like pot-smoking liberals like bush nowadays selling america for cheap lettuce, while replacing american workers with illegal drug smugglers. smallpox also killed indians, but that was unintentional. the land claimed by america that belonged to mexico was bought. so how much of america actually was stolen? very little it seems.

The original immigrants in America mostly came from Asia! Check the DNA of "Native Americans"!

Some American Indians willingly assimilated into the European culture of the new immigrants; however, some also thought there was room in the vast woodlands, plains, deserts and mountains to share with a few more people, even if they *were* "pale-faces". Yes, some also traded land for wampum - I believe the island of Manhattan was sold to the Pilgrims for $24 - is that island worth more than *that* today? ;)

No kidding most of the US wasn't controlled by the Aztecs. In fact, Aztec civilization was virtually destroyed in the 1500s. You get several brownie points for that one.
The motive of Native Americans who "sold" the land was not "oh lets sell the land to pay for more s***". Initially there were 'sales' of land because Native Americans did not have land ownership concepts like Europeans. They gave us the right to be on the land because they had had the previous relationship with it, but they did not see this as renouncing their rights to return to the land.
Later, we signed treaties with various tribes which we then violated at our leisure, which is about as close to a definition of "stealing" as you can get.
Some smallpox deaths were unintentional. The massive outbreaks that resulted from us sending them infected blankets as "aid" were VERY intentional. In modern terms it would be called genocide via biological WMD.
The entire southwest of the US (specifically, west of the Louisiana purchase/Texas and south of the Oregon territory) except for the Gadsden Purchase (thin strip of land at the bottom of present-day NM and AZ) was stolen from Mexico. Under Taylor we invented a border ambiguity at the Southern end of Mexico, intentionally placed garrisons of US soldiers on the wrong side, and when Mexico fired limited shots to get our patrols off of their land, we declared war. So that would constitute theft also.

revising history doesn't change the fact that the only two parcels of land that were bought from the Indians were Manhattan Island and Florida. We made over 150 treaties with the Indians and broke every last one of them. As for Smallpox don't forget that was a "gift" from us to them in the form of contaminated blankets, given to people displaced from their homes and forced into camps where they were at the mercy of American Charity. their right to hunt was taken from them when we disarmed them.
For the most part, the Indians didn't even understand the idea of "owning" land. The land was a gift of life provided by the great spirit. To them it was as absurd as claiming to own the sunshine.
I do have to commend you on packaging both ignorance and arrogance in a single question, how efficient of you.

America belonged to the people who inhabited it before we arrived .
The concept of land ownership as well as human ownership was foreign to the natives .
Much of the land was traveled by nomadic people who traveled in small bands of a few hundred . No settlements like those in Europe existed in what is north america .
The people moved north south east and west eating the natural vegetation and wildlife abundant in the forests and fields .
We established land claims and killed those who trespassed against and on this property .
We used a military to hunt down and remove or kill any native people and confine them to specific parcels of land we deemed useless .
And spain sold the land it took from the natives it enslaved in mexico and central and south america .
Spanish was not the native tongue of any people in the americas prior to the 1400's .
Those who did not learn spanish and accept Jesus where killed .
What kind of idiot are you that history escapes you .

Living in arizona I have never met a local native american that speaks spanish and while you can find fault with how we came into this land I would be hard pressed to believe the local natives would care to be part of mexico.Native people from both sides of the border have been abused and continue to be by both country's.As far as any claim by mexico for arizona, california,or new mexico we kicked their butt for it to bad for the losers.P.S thank's to the local Native American's for helping to provide the water to help are city's and state grow and allowing us access to their lands to be able to see the beauty of them.

Let me ask you this...why is american always taking credit for things that they either didn't invent or discover, yet people seem to forget that you can't discover a land that already had inhabitants. So dispite who owned the lands before "America" was "discovered", the indigenous people were here. Till this very day they get no recogniation but a small part of land. Who's selfish here!!!

Apparently Mexicans have a weak knowledge of history. In addition the Mexican Government sold most of it's land to finance war. If I sell a car, I can't try to take it back because it "once belonged to me".

first of all the concept of land ownership is strictly European, the natives did not believe in land ownership, it belongs to everyone.
second, most of the colonies in southwest united states, central and south America, belonged to Spain.
third, you have an issue with criminals, illegals, and labor laws take it up with your city council, state government and the businesses that support them.

Huh?! "...liberals like bush..." I don't get it. One thing I do get is that we need to get rid of the illegal alliens in this country. This country was built by immigrants--LEGAL immigrants who paid the price.
