When i tell people her name they either look at me thinking im crazy or they say its gorgeous. Some say she'll get picked on when she starts school, which has got me abit worried. I have 3 sons, Kieron, Kallum, and Adam, the 3 6's my family call them (for a joke) so i thought it'd be lovely when i had a girl to call her Angel. What do you think, and would you call your daughter Angel??

my wife and I have 4 babies in heaven and we have said that with our next chiild (we are due next jan) we would deeply consider calling our child (if it was a girl) angel. As its beautiful and would also be associated with our 'angels' in heaven

I also have a daughter named Angel and never had a problem with it. Her name is Angel Dawn. She was born on Jan 22 about 7:30 AM and it was the most beautiful sunrise I had ever seen, That is where the "Dawn" came from and she looked liked an Angel when she was born. So it was ANGEL DAWN

Angel is fine. You named her that and you had your reasons. Go with them and keep stepping.
I stared school in the mid '70s and graduated high school in the late '80s with two 'Angels', one female, one male. They were never teased. Actually, they were really cool people, so no one ever considered it. There's a lot to be said for personality.
There's also much to be said for self-fulfilling prophesy. IMHO, you should advise your family to stop, even jokingly, calling your sons "the 3 6's". I'd hate to hear about your boys down the road wreaking tragic havoc that makes national news and headlines. Their names (at least the two K's) are uncommon enough that I'd remember...
May all your children be angels.

Angel is fine for a girls name. My daughters name is Tyler. It wasn't supposed to be Tyler. I wanted it to be Tylen (pronounced Ty-lynn). However, I was still druggy at the hospital when I was filling out the papers and I didn't realize the mistake until the birth certificate arrived in the mail. So, I just stuck with it.

I quite like it. It does sound really cute.
I can understand why people might be shocked at it though...it's not exactly common.
I don't think kids will tease her. There's some very unique and original names these days and children are more open to hearing these than adults!
If you really are concerned though maybe you could give her a nickname she could use....Angie perhaps?
Though I don't think you need to do that.
Angel is a gorgeous name.

Angel is a good name to give to a daughter. Do not mind those who say she will be taken on when she starts school. Angel is femine and very approriate for a girl child

Angel is a pretty name and I dont believe she is going to be teased, because I go to a school with a girl named Angel and nobody bugs her.
Just look at it this way atleast her name isnt Apple.

She shouldn't get picked on, it is a beautiful name, and represents something heavenly and pure.
If her name was TinkerBell however, that would be a different story.
Otherwise, Angel is a beautiful name for a human being.
