What I love about Rosie is that she has successfully unearthed the abundance of stupidity that resides in our nation. Many of these responses remind me of that age where you learn that words can hurt, but you still lack a basic knowledge of an extensive vocabulary. You know, the age where you ran around calling people big doo doo and poo poo heads? The age where it was funny to call people fat pigs? Oh and let's throw the "cooties" in for good measure. THAT age.

I find it amusing that the people who have responded to this question can not simply state their disagreement with her and her views, but instead stoop to childish name calling. Yes Rosie is overweight. Yes Rosie is gay. Yes Elisabeth is beautiful. Yes Elisabeth is straight. What does any of those things have to do with anything? Discuss the ISSUES. Stop being sidetracked by fluff that means nothing.

To answer the ORIGINAL question, well it's been done already. I am sure she has had the same views all along, but the two shows have two totally different formats. ABC, Barbara Walters, The View knew how she felt about most all of these topics before they hired her. They knew what they were in store for... remember this industry is about the bottom line. The show will suffer with her gone if they do not find a suitable replacement. I have enjoyed Rosie on the show and I will miss the discussions she sparks.

She is not bitter. She is being honest and people like elizabeth have been brainwashed by her in-laws or parents about bush this and bush that. The truth of the matter is he is a bad president and innocent lives are being shed because Bush didn't win a game of tic-tac-toe. ROsie wants the troops out of there, She doesn't want anymore people do DIE for NO REASON. there is no war, it's an attack from the Americans. LEAVE IRAQ. Also, i completely agree with Anna people are sooo ignorant all they do is name call but have nothing intellectual to argue for what it is they are really trying to say. HEr being lesbian, overweight has nothing to do with her opinion. They are better than Elisabeth's who is completely brainwashed and only thinks with her republican empty brainwashed head

TV is a tough industry, with so much going on in it, who wouldn't be bitter. Since her tiff with Donald Trump calling her fat , that would be enough to make anyone bitter considering Donald is no stick figure himself. Besides everyone gets bitter at some point in time and we can't stay the same for the sake of others. Life isn't as easy as it used to be.

She is older and established in her career so now she doesn't have to hold back for fear of what people will think. She doesn't have to hold back because people might not like her-it doesn't matter now. Now she has the courage to speak her mind and to stand for what she believes in. And really she is probablly bitter b/c she knows if she were a straight, blonde, beautiful woman people would view her differently.

i do not think she changed.....
the rosie show and the view are to very different types of shows.......
the rosie show served as a platform for actors/actresses/singers to come and talk about their latest movies, life decisions, etc. Rosie played or acted out the role of a nice hostess who was friends to them all and who admired their work.....hat is done by all talk show hosts.....except johnny carson..........
on the view.....the ladies are there to voice their opinions on diferent social, political, economical issues and some small portion is spent on hollywood gossip......yet the platform on this show belongs to the ladies.....so rosie who has very strong and sometimes controversial opinions is seen as mean or too outspoken.......she is supposed to be outspoken....that is what the show is all about.....that is her job on that paricular show.

Actually I don't think she has changed one bit. On the "Rosie" show she was nice and polite (usually) because it what was called for on the show. She kept her "dark side" hidden, but it was always there. In person, Adolf Hitler was charming. Just because somebody appears to be nice doesn't mean they are.

If you looked like that, sitting next to Elisabeth with the perfect life, wouldn't you be bitter & pitifully unhappy as well?

I like Rosie as she tells it like it is and not afraid to speak up.

I think she really wants to get fired by ABC. This would only excel her career. Remember Madonna always out did herself to remain popular. It still works today. Umm...they just happen to be good friends too.
