I'm a huge ATL Hawks fan (kill me). Who should we take with the #3 and #11 pick? We need a center and a point guard. I think that we should take a center first, because there is a slim chance that Mike Connely jr will be around and a very good chance that Acie Law IV will still be around for pg's at #11. As far as centers go, i was thinking about Hibbert, but he decided to stay in school. Does anyone know anything about the supposedly athletic Yi Jianlian, the 7 footer from China? Would the Hawks be justified in using the #3 pick on him? what are your thoughts?

Man the Hawks made the worst pick of last year's draft in Sheldon Williams and they are just historically a bad drafting team and a badly run team, mark my words, they will mess up these picks, no doubt, they don't want to pay anyone, they will end up taking some international guys that they think they'll be able to pay less money, they will be be absurd reaches, and I'm sorry, I don't mind the Hawks, it's just a pattern with them and people wonder why they are always a joke. Let's see if they reverse the trend this year, but it is kinda funny how in this year's draft the 1 and 2 picks are all that matters and the Hawks fell into the top 3 and end up with the 3rd, lol, just their luck.

First of all, I absolutely love Law at #11, that's a steal in my book. But i don't know much about the guy from china. I always say that those dudes take some time to develop so i'd be looking at that kid from pittsburgh, I think his name is Gray. I might like to see you guys move that pick for some vets. Maybe give the #3 to Memphis, let them have 3 and 5, while u get Gasol. But u' will probably take Jianlian, just make sure to get Acie.

I've seen Yi play on some tapes. Dude is really good, but obviously on those tapes they only show his best stuff...I've heard some people say he is the 3rd best player in the draft. I can't see Yi falling past MN at 7...as for your question...I think Conley is the best choice for a PG, but there won't be many big men left at 11. I think they should take Brandon Wright at 3 (even though he should go about 5 or 6) and take Acie Law at 11.

Yi Jianlian would be the best pick for the number 3 spot if the hawks needed a forward. He would not fit well at the center position. His game is that of a poor man's Dirk, he still needs to refine on his game in order to compete at the NBA level. They should draft him because other teams are bound to pick him up like boston or memphis. Atlanta should then trade him to a team like the kings for a veteran center like Brad Miller. I think he complements the Hawks game. As for the point guard, Mike Conley would fit best because the Hawks have been using pass first point guards in speedy claxton. If not then Acie Law, whose game complements Johnson's. In all its a win-win situation for the hawks.

I seriously doubt that Connely Jr lasts till the #11 pick. Especially considering that Boston will probably chose him with the #5 pick. (Even not I don't see him going above 10)They say Yi Jianlian has the potential to be better than Yao Ming, only time will tell. However if it were my #3 pick I would take Brandon Wright of North Carolina, he's already proved himself on a big stage.

Conley won't last until 11 and he is a better pick than any of the available centers in the draft. Horford or Brandan Wright from UNC are really the only two other players that could be taken before Conley. I say take the kid from Ohio State and worry about a center later.

Mike Conley with the third pick. After passing on Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Rajon Rondo in the last two drafts, it's time to take a point guard, right? and with the 11th pick they should draft Acie Law

he's a scoring guard who is fearless at the end of games. He should be able to step in and contribute immediately.

dont be sad i am a hawks fan as well

Noah with the third %. as a results of fact he could extra wholesome properly with their different up-pace gamers as a results of fact he can run too yet he could additionally play center. he will deliver optimism and exuberance to their group to boot. the two Conley or Acie regulation may be the eleventh %.. with a bit of luck a form of two suited ingredient guards are left as a results of fact the Hawks relatively prefer a stable ingredient shelter to feed those up-pace gamers the ball. yet regulation and Conley are no longer stable sufficient to justify utilizing the third %. on. in the event that they do no longer choose for Noah and do draft a pg with the third %.. seem for them to take the somewhat athletic Josh McRoberts from Duke. He has great length and brings a ton of skills to the table.

I think the Hawks should pick Conley at #3 and then go after Noah if he's still around at #11 that would be a good lineup to face.

PG-Conley
SG-Johnson
SF-Smith
PF-M.Williams
C-Noah

#3 pick you take Conley. He will not be there at 11 and you can only trade down one spot and still get him. At #11, there will not be a value for center (Hawes will be gone). You take best available athlete....Al Thornton from Florida State.
