In the same boat really. Would love to try and trust my estranged fiance but although I love him, I can't really forget all the **** things he has done.
So I moved on and each time I find myself being mistrusting of anyone else in my life, I still have to remind myself that not everyone's like him.
Rebuilding trust can be done but its definitely worth watching for the small signs he will slip back into his old ways and stay on your guard for at least a while. For instance, if he doesn't call, turn up or do what he says he will, when he says he will, that's a very telling sign that he will eventually abuse your trust again. At that point, its time to go. Make sure he knows what you expect and what you won't tolerate and then wait and see.

No, it takes a long time to get that trust back. I am a E-Z going person and I do let things roll off my back but if they lie then that's pretty much it for me. How do you know when they are be truthful or not? Keep your guard up and if this person wants your trust they will work hard to get it. Other wise don't trust a lair

I guess that we have to give people a second chance... Maybe, they won't do it to you again but if they do, move on... You don't want to be associated with these kind of people anyway... Have an open mind... You have to build and earn trust... I know that it's difficult to trust someone again but give them another chance... Hopefully, the person would change for the better, okay?!

It depends what they lied about, and how often.
I usually will have a lot of trouble to trust someone after I found out they lied to me.

It's possible. But will probably take a while to build up the trust again.

Yes, I think you can trust a person after they've lied to you. It might be hard at first, but it can be done.

Yes, everyone deserves a second chance. But make them prove it to you. They should want to work extra hard to get your trust again.
