office of the attorney general. if you know his social or where he works, last known address or where he can be reached, he can be found. be patient, once he's found, you'll go to court and you will have a session with a mediator and then you'll go before the judge. he will be asked about his assets and if he says he doesn't have any money: depending on the judge, he may be asked what he has in his pocket, he will have to pick up cans or something to support his child and if not, sooner or later he will go to jail. remember, it takes time. good luck

The going after part is easy, its the collecting thats hard. If you have a court order ordering him to pay and isnt, you can always run him back into court to have the order enforced. But if he doesnt work or is pid under the table its hard to collect money from him. You should be able to contact your local child support collection agency for help and advice. Use the legal system, its there for you. Good luck

Your county Child Support Enforcement office will take care of it. It costs you nothing and they even supply you with an attorney! Believe me I know because my Husband's ex takes him to court once every few yrs to increase the CS payments! Even though I don't like the fact she's always riding his butt, I do see yall's side of it. All you'll have to do is some leg work. ie his address, ss#, proof of paternity, ect.

Good luck and God bless!

go to court and file the paper work. Then you are going to have to go to your county Child Support Enforcement and they will also start to track him down. If you have any information at all, let them know and they will find him. That is how I found my ex dead beat looser. Good luck, it is going to take some time, don't get discouraged, just don't give up.

the biological father of my daughter went about a year without paying child support.....i just let it go since i was ok at the time finacially. after a year of him not paying it (and without me saying anything about it) the state (i live in MO) started taking it out of his check automattically...and now i am getting back pay as well for the year he paid nothing. if you need the money now i would suggest calling your states child support enforcement agency and telling them that you arent receiving anything...they will take it from there. that way you wont have the expense of a lawyer and all that

Contact a lawyer, who will contact the courts to let you know your rights and tell you were to go from there. Believe me, that work! Doing that you don't have to do any of the work yourself the state picks up the tab for dead beats....Good Luck!

Consult a lawyer. Most states will allow a deadbeat parent's wages to be garnished to pay child support.
